Want to start writing to the Lancaster OGC blog?

You probably already received an "invitation" email that says something like "The Blogger user Joan Bacon has invited you to contribute to the private blog: Lancaster OGC."

If you can't find that note, and you're now ready to get going, just write to me (jobacon750@aol.com), and I'll resend the "invitation."

Your accepting of this invitation turns you into a "Lancaster OGC blog member" which gives you permission to write to the site. You can start writing to the blog immediately if you already have a google id and password, but if you don't, please take a minute to set one up. There's a link in the top right of the blog that takes you right where you need to go to create the account.

After that's done, you're all set to go!

1. Go to the blog -- http://lancasterogc.blogspot.com/
2. To do more than just read things on the blog, click on "Sign In" in the upper right.......to sign into your google account id. Then fill in Username, Password, and click the "Sign In" button.

3. Signing in will probably take you to a place called the Dashboard. Not completely sure what you, personally, will see there, but I'm hoping there will be a line for you that says Lancaster OGC....and over to the right of it, says, VIEW BLOG. Click on "View Blog" to get into the OGC blog again and be able to do it all....read, comment on existing posts, or create new posts.

4. Things you can do on the blog --

a. you can read posts.

b. you can "comment" about someone's post. By the way, if you haven't signed in by then, it will ask you to do that after you hit "Comment".

c. at the top of the blog, there's a "New Post" selection, if you want to create a new one.

d. lower in the blog, are web sites with "hot links" for very easy accessibility (send me any you want added to the list. let me know if it's your own personal web site, since I'll put it in the members list of web sites).

e. fill in your own profle for others to learn about you.

f. read other members' profiles. this is a wonderful way to "put the face to the name" for anyone that is as challenged as I am at remembering names! It is also a wonderful way to get to know each other better.

Joan B.
p.s. This site is still "under construction," so please be patient as I learn how to set things up and do things. Thanks!

Just testing the change to comments. I didn't sign in first. Just entered my comment in the "Leave your comment" section. Then at the bottom of the page, just typed the word verification, added in my nickname (that's optional) and hit the "Publish" button.
